Class of '22 - '23
After unveiling the concept in 2021 with a pilot program, Pepsi Music Lab has evolved into a full scale, multi-service platform in year two, committing to an array of opportunities and services for the rising stars that have been handpicked to headline the Class of '22-'23. Pepsi enlisted UnitedMasters – a technology platform that enables any artist with a computer or a smartphone to get their music on streaming platforms and find more ways to monetize their craft through sync and brand deals, all while keeping ownership of their masters – to help identify the talented, dedicated, and diverse musicians across a variety of genres, styles, and regions nationwide that now join the Pepsi music legacy as part of Pepsi Music Lab. The Class of '22-'23 is comprised of 12 aspiring artists from across the country including five who were contestants on “Becoming A Popstar,” co-produced by Pepsi, MTV and TikTok.

In December 2021, Pepsi introduced the Pepsi Music Lab pilot program, teaming up with award-winning producer and artist, Pi'erre Bourne, to select three aspiring hip-hop stars from across the country and provide them with mentorship, training, and exposure opportunities in the music industry. StarchildKayla, TooFiyaa and WNTRBRK - were chosen via open call to attend the Pepsi Music Lab academy, a three-day intensive with intimate studio sessions led by Pi'erre. Each artist produced an original record that was mixed, mastered, and released by Pi'erre in conjunction with Pepsi.
